Jorie Tappa

After growing up with a love of the darkroom and making photographs, I earned my BFA in Photography in 2008. Nine months after graduation I wanted to continue learning, and went back to school for Web Design & Interactive Media, which led me to becoming a part of the tech industry. I was a developer and programmer for 4 years in Minneapolis, MN until I suffered a burnout and switched career tracks. I'm now a Technical Writer in Portland, OR with Puppet Labs. Sprinkled into my evenings and weekends I have steadily continued making photographs of weddings, families (newborn, high school seniors, full family portraits), and events for causes I care about.
