I'm a wife, a mother, and a grandmother with a love for learning and for technology I believe I inherited from my own mother. I'm also a self taught designer, developer, and digital marketer. Although I've been coding seriously for only about 4 years I learned HTML in college back in the early 1990s and have built numerous websites over the years. After building my first iOS application and publishing it on the App store three years ago I caught the bug. My professional background spans numerous industries including finance, real estate, sales, and contract security management. Educationally, I have an MBA and a BA in Economics. Finally, in my civic past I've played an instrumental role in planning numerous cotillions and conferences as an alumni member of my sorority. I've even served as the Marshall for the 60th Eastern Regional Conference for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. As a middle aged woman, grandmother, transitioning into coding later in my professional life I have a vested interest in bringing and encouraging conferences such as AlterConf to similarly underrepresented populations.
