I have worked with, and in, teams comprising members of diverse ages, races, backgrounds, genders and orientations - and the truth is that working in a diverse team is hard. It takes longer for the team to find its groove and it's just more work to integrate divergent points of view. But the other great truth is that in every instance I have been part of, the output of the diverse team is better, more creative, more thorough and considered. In this talk I'll share tips for making it work, as a team member or as a manager. Because it's worth it.
